Rock Tumbler was looking for a new project, and Bob Hoffnar (pedal steel guitar player) introduced us to the improvisational work of Austin saxophone/flute legend Alex Coke with his septet: Alex (woodwinds), Bob (steel guitar), Stephen Bidwell (drums), Elaine Barber (harp), Ingebrigt Haker-Flaten (bass), Arjen Gorter (bass), and Michael St. Clair (trombone). The record is a document of a fun afternoon with a small pile of musicians doing what they love to do.
